My first season in British Superstock 600 and I would have been happy to qualify to make the grid , so to be regularly finishing in the points has been fantastic and I know I have improved a great deal.
Having the Motobreakers team leave the paddock mid season was a blow to us all, as we had planned on being managed for the whole season. Fortunately, my crew chief (Neil Pearson) believed in me and stood by me building a competitive race bike allowing me to complete the remainder of the season.
As privateers we achieved so much more despite missing the Knockhill round my riding continued to improve, I learnt so much more about the suspension, set up and how to approach both the practice, qualifying and the race and this was evident in my results.
Finishing inside the top 15 in the 600 Superstock class also gave me the opportunity to compete in Supersport and I had some really respectable results on a Stock bike in this class.
With the Endurance team - I contributed in winning the ACU 600 National Endurance Championship in 2017, adding another National Championship title to my race career.
None of this would be possible without the support from sponsors - thank you so much for following my race career and supporting me.
It is my intention in 2018 to continue the ongoing progression of my racing career with a move up to the highly competitive Dickies British Supersport Championship.
This will offer much more coverage as both of the races are televised and live on British Eurosport, then repeated on ITV4. Of course, this higher media profile will give any prospective sponsors the opportunity to gain high profile coverage for their support.
I will be including active links to all my sponsors on my webpage www.dandrayton.com and include will also provide outstanding coverage and a large circulation in all my posts on social media and the post a pre-race reports produced.
I will keep you up to date with all the activity and hope you will be able to come and see me race in 2018.
